Protective Coat for Various Metal Surfaces, Especially for Aluminum Concrete Formwork Kotec 701SN is a fast-drying, solvent-cutback protective coating for both ferrous and non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, copper, stainless steel, steel and cast iron etc. Its dry film is hard and flexible, non-tacky and clear. Kotec 701SN has an excellent adhesion to the metal surfaces. Kotec 701SN is developed especially for the protection of aluminum forms for construction industry and also for various spare parts of other industries. The excellent adhesion and anti-corrosive property protect and maintain various metal surfaces and prolong the life span of them. Especially, Kotec 701SN protects the aluminum concrete formwork from discoloration and help releasing performance between the aluminum forms and the concrete after complete curing.

BENEFITS

• Kotec 701SN dries to a tack-free film 10 to 15 minutes after application, depending upon working conditions. Its dry time can be reduced by using forced hot air blowing. But 48 hours should be given to the coating film for use at construction sites.

2. Recommended Coating Film Thickness

Wet Film Thickness : Over 100 microns

DFT (Dry Film Thickness) : Over 20 microns

3. Application Procedure:

A). After application of Kotec 701SN, you should give two days (48 hours) dry time to the coat on the aluminum forms. Otherwise, the coat will peel off easily.

B). After 48-hour dry time of Kotec 701SN, then they can apply concrete

release agent before concreting (pouring concrete between the aluminum forms.
